SoCon Coach of the Year
List of SoCon Coach of the Year winners
The Southern Conference (SoCon) has awarded SoCon Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors every season since 1946-47. Long-time Davidson head coach Bob McKillop won the award the most times (nine). Davidson is the program with the most awards (sixteen), followed by Chattanooga (nine), West Virginia and Appalachian State (seven each).
Historically, winners have been chosen by SoCon media, but since the 1989-90 season, the league’s coaches have also voted on Coach of the Year. So for seasons in which the media and coaches chose different winners, both will be listed below. Parenthesis indicate number of awards for that coach or school.
