Additional Facts

This is the second time that Ford Field will host the NCAA Final Four – previously doing so in 2009 – and the second time for the city of Detroit. In addition to hosting the 2009 Final Four, Ford Field was the site of the Midwest Regional Final in 2008. The Detroit area has hosted a number of other NCAA Tournament events, including the Midwest Regional Final in 2024 (Little Caesars Arena) and 2000 (The Palace of Auburn Hills), and first and second round games in 2018 (Little Caesars Arena), 2013, 2006 and 1997 (The Place of Auburn Hills).

Television rights for the 2027 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament are held by CBS Sports and Turner Sports, as games will be broadcast on CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV. Radio rights are held exclusively by Westwood One.
