List of SEC Coach of the Year winners

The coaches of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) have awarded SEC Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors every season since 1963-64. The coach to win the award the most times is Kentucky’s Adolph Rupp, with seven total. Kentucky is also the program with the most awards (22), followed by Tennessee, Mississippi State (nine each) and Vanderbilt (eight).

While the league’s head coaches have selected a Coach of the Year since 1964, the Associated Press (AP) has also selected a Coach of the Year since 1960. Though both often choose the same coach as winner, the list below includes coach(es) that won either award. Parenthesis indicate number of awards for that coach or school.
