The Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC) has awarded MAC Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors every season since 1969-70. The coaches to win the award the most times are former head coaches Bob Nichols (Toledo), Darrell Hedric (Miami (OH)) and Ben Braun (Eastern Michigan), with three each. Kent State is the program with the most awards (nine), followed by Miami (OH) (eight), Toledo, Central Michigan and Akron (six each). Parenthesis indicate number of awards for that coach or school.
