Full list of Big Eight Conference Tournament men’s basketball champions, including head coach, by year. Parenthesis indicate number of titles for that coach or school. The Big Eight Conference was active from 1928-29 through the 1995-96 season and, along with the Southwest, was a predecessor to the Big 12. Missouri was the program with the most titles (six), followed by Kansas and Oklahoma (four each). Norm Stewart was the head coach to win the most times (six), followed by Billy Tubbs (three).
