List of Big Eight Coach of the Year winners

The Big Eight Conference awarded Big Eight Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors nearly every season from 1957-58 through 1995-96 (with a few exceptions). The coach to win the award the most times (six) was Missouri’s Norm Stewart, followed by Sox Walseth, Ted Owens, Billy Tubbs and Roy Williams (four each). Kansas was the program with the most winners (ten), followed by Kansas State and Oklahoma (seven each). Parenthesis indicate number of awards for that coach or school.
